Abbie has a SHRM-CP certification. We can develop a new employee handbook or edit an existing one, make sure you are in compliance with state and federal laws, review employee benefits for cost-benefit analysis, create a calendar with suggested OSHA topics for safety meetings, and more.

Abigail Reaves, CPA

Abbie received a degree from the University of Arkansas, Little Rock, and has been a licensed CPA since 2003. In 2017, after seeing a greater need for Human Resource experts, she received her HR certification. She has been actively working in the accounting field for more than 20 years. During that time she has raised two amazing red-headed sons and fostered countless four-legged fur babies. For fun, she is also pursuing aerial arts through Arkansas Circus Arts. 

The idea for Dogwood Consulting came after building a home on her family's farm. During the 2016 election, the firm for which Abbie works was actively involved in one of the major national campaigns. This meant her team was spread all over the country and she ended up doing a lot of online or cloud accounting. One autumn afternoon at her farm she thought, "Why couldn't I do this from home and serve a larger clientele?"

Sitting in the picturesque setting of her farm house, surrounded by her rescue dogs, Abbie has carved out a quiet nook for her work. She looks forward to conferencing with you and learning about your specific accounting and business needs.    

Abbie pulls from a wide range of experts to best serve her clients-- from lawyers who can review or create documents to marketing professionals who can build websites or social media.
